OMOM Maasai Community Foundation Engages at the Arusha NGO’s Forum
The OMOM Maasai Community Foundation took part in the prestigious Arusha NGO’s Forum, a gathering dedicated to fostering collaboration, sharing innovative solutions, and strengthening civil society engagement across Tanzania and beyond. Representing OMOM at the event, Mes Naomi, the Executive Director, played a key role in advocating for transformative initiatives that empower the Maasai people through education, socio-economic advancement, and environmental sustainability.
The Forum, held under the theme “Building Resilient Communities Through Partnership and Innovation,” served as a vital platform for grassroots and national organizations to exchange best practices, discuss pressing challenges, and forge strategic alliances. OMOM’s presence at the Forum underscored its commitment to community-driven solutions that uplift marginalized groups from the grassroots level, especially women, youth, and children in the Maasai community.
During the Forum, OMOM’s delegation participated in a series of interactive panel discussions alongside experts, government representatives, and other civil society leaders. Topics included gender equality in rural communities, innovative strategies for water conservation, and the role of youth leadership in advancing sustainable development goals.
The sessions provided an opportunity for OMOM to share successful case studies, including their community-led education projects and economic empowerment programs, while learning from the experiences of other organizations operating in similar contexts. This exchange of knowledge and experience opened doors for future collaborations and inspired new ideas to strengthen community resilience.
OMOM Maasai Community Foundation is proud to be at the forefront of grassroots-led change. The Arusha NGO’s Forum reaffirmed our commitment to building resilient communities and amplifying the voices of those who too often go unheard. As we continue our mission, we invite supporters, partners, and community members to join us in making a tangible impact through collaborative action.
